Home / Salvation, What is it / Who gets to go to Heaven

Who Gets to Go
to Heaven???

This may come as a shock!

1. It is not the person who is Good.
Being Good is not even part of it.

2. It is not the person who is Best.
Being better than the rest or Best is not even part of it.

3. It is not the person who goes to Church.
Church or Church work is not even part of it.

4. It is not the person who is Religious.
Being Religious is not even part of it.

5. It is not the person who Tithes.
Giving 10% to the Church or even to the Lord's work is not even part of it.

6. It is not the person who Sacrifices to God.
Sacrificing to God or even giving one's life for God is not part of it.

7. It is not the person who has been Baptized.
Baptism in water or being sprinkled is not part of it.

8. It is not the person who Loves God.
Loving God or the things of God is not even part of it.

9. It is not the person whose Grandmother is a Saint.
Being related to a good person is not even part of it.

10. It is not the person who is Reincarnated.
Being Reincarnated (if it were true) is not even part of it

11. It is not the person whose close kin is a Preacher, Priest or Nun.
Being related to a Servant of God is not even part of it.

12. It is not the person who purposefully lives in Poverty.
Ownership or lack of ownership is not even part of it.

13. It is not the person who has been Confirmed.
Someone else (priest, preacher, reverend, bishop, etc.) Confirming that you are a Christian is not even part of it.

14. It is not the person who Confesses their Sin.
Admitting you are a sinner is not even part of it.

15. It is not the person who receives Communion.
Communion nor any religious act is not even part of it.

16. It is not the person who has Memorized large portions of the Bible
Knowing much or nothing about the Bible is not even part of it.

17. It is not the person who lives like Mother Theresa.  Living a Sacrificial life of Servitude is not even part of it.

18. It is not the person who has died, seen the White Light and returned.
White Light experiences are not even part of it.

19. It is not the person who has seen an Angel, Mary, Joseph, God or Jesus.
Religious visitations are not even part of it.

20. It is not the person who DOES anything.  Nor is it the person who is good in any way.  None could ever be good enough.

It IS ...
* the person who is a sinner
* the person who realizes he or she is a sinner
* the person who realizes he or she cannot forgive or save their self as a sinner
* the person who has seen Jesus as their personal Saviour
* the person who has called on Jesus as their personal Saviour
* the person who has had their sins forgiven by Jesus and received as a son in the family of God

"But as many as received him (Jesus), to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his (Jesus) name"
John 1:12

So, now the
Obvious Question is ...

How does a person receive Jesus and believe on His name to get their sins forgiven?

By being
Saved! or Born Again!

Being saved or born again
is forever living with a loving God.
If this was possible,
(you can even assume that it is not)
is there anyone, anywhere
who would not want to at least SEE
what salvation is all about?
