Bible Verses
"But as many as received him
(Jesus), to them gave he
power to become the sons of God
(Born Again as sons into the family of God), even to them
that believe on his name: "
"Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of
the will of man, but of God."

Chapter 1 - Verses 12-13
Receiving Jesus
All that receive Jesus Christ are given the power to become a son in
the family of God. This receiving is believing on Jesus' name.
Believing enough to call on Jesus name as Personal Saviour
from sin.
These receive the
New Birth from God, not from any man, not from themselves.
The Change
How plainly this can be seen as a
change in the believer that only God can make. He or
she is a new person. Being made a son (new position) and made
a new person (being).
Did you get the
Change?
Not a
change you made (and you most certainly need to make some
changes), but a
change in you that God made.
What Change is that?
* Do you suddenly want to read more of the Bible to discover more
about Jesus and what He has for you?
* Do you suddenly want to be in church to hear the preacher relate
more about Jesus?
* Do you suddenly want to tell everyone:
"I got
saved."
"I am forgiven."
"I am going to Heaven, wouldn't you like to know?"
If this is what happened to you, it sounds like you
got the
change.
The Feeling is Gone
If this happened some time back, your zeal may have cooled somewhat.
This does not mean that you lost it. Loss of zeal means your
have
backslidden and need to repent of sin and rejoin the Father
and the Son in
fellowship.
Missed It
Some have called on Jesus as their personal Saviour, but did not get
the
change. They have received the planting of the seed of
the Gospel, but have not received Jesus.
Don't Stop Now
Of course these would like to know more. Not promising to do
anything, but just
SEE what
they missed.
