"Love Your Neighbor as Yourself"
This seems like the correct answer, but it's
not.
We are most certainly expected to love
our neighbors, but this is not criteria for a Gift.
All gifts are FREE.
When you buy a Gift for someone you love or appreciate, you give
that Gift with no strings attached. When a Gift is received,
the receiver is not expected to report past good behavior. He
or she is expected to receive it and open it and enjoy it. It
is Free.
If a Gift is dependent upon good
behavior, then it is not a Gift, but payment for their good
conduct.
Even our law states that any string attached to a Gift, indicates it
is not a Gift, but a reward for expected behavior.
Gifts, all Gifts, any Gifts are Free to receive.
