Jesus died on the Cross.

"... he (Jesus) humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross."
The Bible - Book of Philippians - Chapter 2 - Verse 8

He was in the grave for 3 days and 3 nights,
then resurrected from the grave.

"From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed (on the cross), and be raised again the third day (three days later)." 
The Bible - Book of Matthew - Chapter 16 - Verse 21

Jesus was Resurrected (raised from the dead) from death on the 3rd day and went up to Heaven.
