Why Live by the Bible?

You can do one of 3 things:
* Live your way
* Live someone else's way
* Live God's way

The Bible relates to us God's way. 
1. It is His revealed statement to all of mankind.

"... when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe."
The Bible - 1st Thessolonians - Chapter 2 - Verse 13

2. It is His method of giving faith.

"So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."
The Bible - Book of Romans - Chapter 10 - Verse 17

3. It is His method for saving, passing on an inheritance.

"And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance"
The Bible - Book of Acts - Chapter 20 - Verse 32

4. It is His method of revealing to us our true intentions.

"For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."

"Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.  In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."
