Do you have a desire for spiritual things?

1 Pet 2:2  "As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:"

Those newly born-again desire the word of God, so they can mature in spiritual things.

A longing for more spiritual things of God is a sign of being a born-again babe in Christ.

John 5:24  "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life."

A longing for a relationship with God is a sign of being without the salvation of God.

A longing for a renewed relationship with God is a sign of being backslidden.
