One of the most difficult concepts to realize
while working in a Soul Winning
Booth is that you can easily obtain
Contact Information from prospects.
Top
Our Experience is
about 90-95% Favorable.
A very small amount of this success is because of technique or skill or
talent. Most has to do with just asking. Hence,
anyone can do it.

The Statement
After the Witness, the Prayer and Assurance, ask if they really got
the
change of a new heart, or some other question which is most
likely to produce a positive and affable answer. Then while the
prospect is in a "good mood", tell them ...
"Fill-out this
(Decision
Card) for me, right quick, then before you leave, I want to give you
something."

The Decision Card
Most all the blanks are self-explanatory.
The eMail Blank is important for teen follow-up. They all have
an eMail Address and they can be contacted there because they check
for eMail very often.
The Worker Blank is where the witness puts their first name.
Circle Profession if the prospect made a profession of faith in
Jesus Christ.
Circle Assurance if the prospect received assurance of salvation.
Back of the Form is used to have the prospect write out: What just
happened to you!

The Statement Explanation
The above statement accomplishes several important points.
- You are not really asking, but telling them what to do in a very kind,
but authoritative way.
- This is going to be over very quickly. Not near as long as the
witness.
- They are more apt to cooperate because of the prospect of a "gift".
The statement only helps obtain information a
small percentage of the time. The majority is obtained by just
asking.

What if They
Object?
The large majority will not object, but the most common objection
is, "What is this for?"
We hardly ever answer their question, because we are not usually the
person who is going to follow-up and do not know what that person
may say or do. In other words, we cannot answer for others'
actions.
So, we simply tell them, "Fill out as much as you are comfortable
with." They usually will put down all the information
requested on the form. If they put down nothing at all, we ask that
they furnish their first name and age, and a testimony on the back.

The Testimony
Tell the prospect to "Write on the back (of the Decision Form) what
just happened to you!"
Tell them, "You just called on Jesus as your Saviour, now write on
the back what just happened to you when you did it."
The wording of this statement will let the prospect know what is
expected and will write a meaningful testimony.

Finishing Up
Once the prospect leaves the
booth, complete your part of the
Decision Card and stow away to be
mailed later to the appropriate
pastor in their home town for follow-up.
We send our Decision Cards to Independent Baptist
Churches, where available. Some of them are no better than any
other church, but there are a good number who ...
* use the King James Bible
* take the Gospel to the lost
* follow-up on decisions
* Baptize the regenerated by immersion
* receive into membership the Baptized
